About Mr. Justis

My name is Larry Justis. I grew up on a small farm in the Romeo community and attended Baileyton Elementary School (preK-8).

I have a Bachelor's degree in Languages and a Master's degree in Education. I studied abroad at the University of Paris in France during my junior year of college. I began teaching in 1997.

I am married, and we have one son. We attend Warrensburg Baptist Church. I enjoy doing things with my family, especially outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, camping, and hunting. I also enjoy working on the farm.

I am a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, King's Mountain Chapter--I have two documented ancestors who served in the American Revolution, and they settled in Greene County (in the Roaring Fork area).

My teaching style has evolved over the years, and this fall 2026 semester I am making the most profound shift in methodology since I began teaching thirty years ago. Students will experience global comprehensible input teaching with compelling stories and cultural connections from across the French-speaking world, to help students develop proficiency, cultural awareness, and confidence in authentic communication with a natural, communicative language approach.
I HAVE NO CLASSROOM LIBRARY AT NGHS.
