About Mr. Weems...

Welcome to my site.  Since you have found me here, you probably know that I teach at North Greene High School.  I teach in the math department, and have experience teaching Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Bridge Math. In addition to teaching, I also enjoy my role as the head softball coach at North Greene.

 

On a personal note, I am a 1984 graduate of North Greene High School. After graduating from North Greene, I attended and graduated from East Tennessee State University with degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics.  During these college years, I was also chasing a kid's dream, as I played professional baseball in the Atlanta Braves organization for six years. Once that pursuit ended, I then worked in the Information Technology field as a programmer, analyst, and manager for over twenty years. Following that career, I chose to pursue a second career in public education.  I graduated as a Governor's Fellow from the Teach Tennessee Program and was certified to teach math at the high school level. I live in the North Greene community and enjoy working with students (and athletes) from our community.
